AIDA is a documentary photographer based in TOKYO, Japan. He has been working on long-term projects both in Japan and overseas, including Palestine, Iraq, Thailand as well as Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan.

AIDA has a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri Columbia's School of Journalism. After experiencing two internships in the US, he went back to Japan in 1996 and became a staff photographer for The Asahi Shimbun, Japan's leading dairy paper and circulation of 8million. He started working as a freelance photographer in 2003 and contracted with Gamma Presse, France in 2004. His works has been published in worldwide publications.

AIDA has also won many awards such as The Hearst Foundation's National Photojournalism Championship, USA ('94); 2nd Place in Photo Story, The Days Japan International Photojournalism Awards, Japan ('05, '06); Reader's Prize, The 20 the International scoop and news Festival, France ('06); Investigation Prize
